Wendy Bunting, M.S., CCC-SLP, Director of Rehabilitation

As director of rehabilitation, Wendy oversees the physical and occupational therapy, speech-language pathology and therapeutic recreation teams at Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital. In this role, she empowers staff to prioritize safety, interdisciplinary collaboration and empathy to maximize patient outcomes.

Wendy began her career at Riverside Rehabilitation Hospital more than 20 years ago as a medical speech-language pathologist. While she has practiced in all medical settings, she remains most passionate about inpatient rehabilitation. For 10 years, Wendy also served as an adjunct assistant professor for Hampton University’s speech-language pathologist graduate program.

Wendy earned a bachelor's degree in linguistics and psychology from The College of William & Mary and a master’s degree in communication sciences and disorders from James Madison University.
